Choose something that instantly reflects your brand identity. 

For example, if you run a business, you might want to use a custom logo. Fiverr is a great place to get logos designed on the cheap, or you can even use AI tools like Meta AI to create one in seconds. 

Just ensure it looks good even in a small circle because most users are viewing on their phones. Keep it clean, simple, and professional.

Crafting the Perfect Username

Next up is your username. 

You want to keep this short, memorable, and directly related to your brand. 

Ideally, avoid underscores, periods, or unnecessary symbols—they can make it harder for users to find or remember you. 

Can’t think of a unique name? Check out thesaurus.com or tools like Lean Domain Search for inspiration.

For example, if you run a pet-related account, something like "PupKing" is easy to remember compared to "PupKing_56789." The simpler, the better.

Writing a High-Converting Bio

Your bio is where the magic happens. 

You’ve got a few words to tell people what you’re all about, so make them count! The best bios are short, punchy, and directly convey your value proposition. 

Whether you're offering a service, product, or inspiration, make it clear what followers can expect.

 Add a strong call-to-action, whether it's asking them to check out your website or subscribe to your email list.

Here’s a proven bio structure that works:

1. A quick, catchy statement about what you do.

2. A call to action, like "Sign up for our newsletter for exclusive deals!"

3. Emojis that fit your brand—just don't overdo it.


Why You Need a Business Account

Converting your Instagram to a business account opens up a world of features that can boost your conversions.

And once you’re doing promotional posts, a business email (using your own domain) looks far more professional than a Gmail address. 

So make sure to ditch the random Gmail and get a business domain.

Everything should align with your brand. 

Your feed, bio, and highlights should have a similar look and feel.
